Hi! Problem solved. Thanks to All of you who were involved in helping me solve it, particularly to SteveG(AudioMasters) who actually hit the nail on the head by suggesting that I go to the Preferences menu and look at my hardware... That action caused me great astonishment when I found out that my setting was indeed off (my default output was set on 'Realtek Digital Output', instead of 'Speakers'. All I did next was to simply make the switch and Bingo: my speakers started communicating again. I was so pleased. Thanks again to all of you, guys. You really made my day. Good Job!
