how do i use adobe camera raw plugin

i just purchased a second camera .. nikon coolpix p340. lr 5.5 won't import or see them? the camera is using nrw files and i have the latest plugin?

so do i just import them the usual way with copy as DNG or is there something i should do to get them into lr? copy as DNG doesn't import my nrw files??
